So Great Salvation

Lewis Sperry Chafer, in his Systematic Theology, states that there are thirty-three separate, distinct works of God that comprise the salvation of a soul. These works are all of God; they are wrought instantaneously and simultaneously at the moment that a lost sinner places his trust in Jesus Christ’s finished work for his salvation. These works are grounded on Christ’s merit alone and are eternal and unconditional. Therefore, every believer is a recipient of all these works from the moment of salvation, although he or she might not be aware of them at the time.

The scope of the doctrine includes every divine undertaking for the believer from his deliverance to his glorification. We will study the doctrine by studying sixteen great words that define the doctrine and their application and benefits to the believer.

This book is not intended to be a theological treatise but to simply discuss many (not all) of those blessings and to motivate the child of God to claim and to enjoy them.
