Preaching is not all that there is to the ministry, but it is perhaps the most significant part of it.  This book explains a systematic way to approach any passage, or any topic of Scripture and put it into a homiletical form that is thoroughly Biblical and logical.  This information is the result of twenty-eight years of teaching the subjects of homiletics and expository preaching at the college level.  Since the author also pastored a local church for twenty of those years, he faced the challenge of doing in the local church what he taught in the college classroom.  This combination helped to make the classroom instruction practical, rather than untested theory.
