Calvary’s Stories

A world of sinners takes the stage at this place called Calvary.  The rich and poor, the famous and insignificant, the religious and impious – each of the men and women serves as a reminder that the cross of Jesus brings a person to a place of decision.  Every witness to the cross is compelled to consider the question of Pilate:

“What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ?”

These are the stories of the men and ladies who watch Jesus die.  Some will trust him; some will dismiss Him; but no one will leave the same.  It is the power of the cross and it is no less potent today.  We cannot walk the pages of the Bible without confronting the Christ of Calvary, and such a sacrifice demands our response.
