Understanding the Bible endeavors to give the sense of any given passage of Scripture and help a reader to understand the reading.

I greatly appreciate this commentary, and use it on a weekly basis. I know of no other whole Bible commentaries by an Independent Baptist, and this one is a great encouragement to me in my preaching and study. It is not as in depth as most, but he does comment on every verse, and is not critical of the King James translation, while occasionally suggesting helpful alternative words. I hope that he someday releases an expanded edition.
